Privacy

The voices and languages come from your device and browser, so your choices differ from someone else's. A voice you see on one computer may be absent on another, and quality ranges from robotic to very natural depending on the system.
It plays live and does not produce a file. There is no built-in way to save the speech as an audio file here; the words are spoken once through your speakers. To capture audio you would need separate recording software.
Most voices work offline, but some of the most natural ones are delivered over the internet. If a voice needs a connection, your text may be sent to that service to be synthesised — something to weigh for sensitive text.
