What the Image Cropper Does

How It Works
Drop or pick an image. After a moment the cropping overlay appears, with a selection box covering 80% of the picture by default.
Drag the box to reposition it and pull its handles to resize. It is constrained so it cannot extend beyond the image — that is Cropper.js viewMode 1.
Click download and the selected region is rendered to a fresh canvas and saved as cropped.png.

Accuracy & Limitations
The crop itself is lossless: the selected pixels are copied into a PNG with no quality loss. But a PNG of a photo is larger than the equivalent JPEG, so if file size matters, run the result through a converter or compressor.
The output is always PNG named cropped.png, whatever the input format — so a cropped JPEG comes out as a larger PNG.
This is a free-form crop. There are no fixed aspect-ratio presets, so you set the shape by dragging the box to the proportions you want.
