What the Text to PDF Does

This tool converts plain text into a PDF document. It takes what you paste, flows it onto standard letter-size pages in a clean sans-serif font, and gives you a ready-to-download, multi-page PDF.

It is the quick way to turn notes, a snippet, a list or any block of text into a tidy PDF you can print, share or archive, without opening a word processor.

How It Works

The tool creates a US Letter page (612 by 792 points, the standard 8.5 by 11 inches) with a margin, and embeds Helvetica, one of the standard PDF fonts. It reads your text line by line, wraps any line that is too wide to fit the margins, and draws each line down the page.

When the text reaches the bottom margin, it starts a new page and carries on, so a long document spans as many pages as it needs. The result is a clean, consistently formatted PDF built entirely from your text.

1. Create the page. Make a US Letter page with margins and embed the Helvetica font.
2. Read line by line. Take your text and process it one line at a time.
3. Wrap to the width. Break any line too wide to fit so it stays within the margins.
4. Flow and paginate. Draw lines down the page, starting a new page when one fills, then download.

Privacy

Accuracy & Limitations

For plain text the output is clean and predictable: your words on tidy US Letter pages, in a consistent font, wrapped to the margins and paginated automatically.

It does not carry formatting. If you paste text that was bold, coloured or styled elsewhere, it arrives as plain Helvetica — the styling is dropped, because the tool works from the text characters only.

It is left-aligned in a single font and size. There are no headings, justified text, columns, tables or images, so it suits straightforward documents rather than designed layouts.

Your line breaks are kept, and over-long lines are wrapped to fit. Very long unbroken strings, such as a URL with no spaces, may extend differently since wrapping happens at spaces between words.
