What the Keyword Combiner Does

Put a list in each box — for example buy / cheap / best in the first, running shoes / laptop in the second, online / near me in the third — and the tool joins one item from each, in order, to produce every combination: buy running shoes online, buy running shoes near me, and so on. It is the fast way to turn a handful of seed words into a long list of specific, long-tail phrases.

The combiner does the multiplication, not the judgement. It does not know which phrases people actually search for, so it pairs everything; you then prune the list and check demand in a keyword tool.

How It Works

It splits each box into lines, drops blank lines, and walks the lists in nested order: for every item in list A it pairs every item in list B, and if you filled the third box, every item in list C. The pieces are joined with single spaces in A-then-B-then-C order, so the column you put a word in decides where it lands in the phrase.

The number of results is the product of the list sizes — three by two is six, ten by ten by ten is a thousand — so a few extra words in each box can produce a very long list. There is no de-duplication and no sorting; what you get is the raw cross-product.

Generation algorithm

1. Split the lists. Read each box line by line, trimming blanks, into lists A, B and optional C.
2. Cross-multiply. Pair every item of A with every item of B, and with every item of C if it is filled.
3. Join in order. Concatenate each combination with single spaces in A-then-B-then-C order.
4. Output the list. Print every combination on its own line, ready to copy.

How many combinations

With the third box empty it is A × B. The count grows fast — ten words in each box is 1,000 phrases.

• Long-tail keywords — longer, more specific phrases (buy running shoes online) have lower volume but higher intent than head terms (shoes); combiners are how marketers generate them at scale.
• PPC match types — in Google Ads the same keyword can be broad, phrase (in quotes) or exact (in square brackets); this tool outputs plain text, which is broad match — wrap them yourself if you need phrase or exact.
• Seed then measure — a combiner makes candidates, not data; feed the list to a tool like Google Keyword Planner for volume, competition and cost-per-click before using it.

Accuracy & Limitations

It concatenates in fixed column order — A, then B, then C — so it will not reorder words. It gives best running shoes online but never running shoes best online. Decide which list holds modifiers, which holds the core term and which holds qualifiers before you paste.

Output grows as the product of the list sizes, so it can balloon quickly: ten by ten by ten is a thousand phrases. Keep lists tight, or be ready to trim the result.

There is no de-duplication. If the same word appears in two lists, or the lists overlap, you can get repeated or near-identical phrases; clean the output afterwards.

It has no search data. The tool cannot tell a phrase people search for from one nobody does — it pairs everything. Always check the candidates in a keyword tool for real volume and competition before building pages or ad groups around them.

Output is plain text, which is broad match in Google Ads. For phrase or exact match, wrap the phrases in quotes or square brackets yourself after exporting.
